The APG re-instated Kiribati as an observer jurisdiction at the APG Annual Meeting in Shanghai, China in July 2013. Kiribati was previously an APG observer from 2001 to 2009.
Kiribati has established a Financial Intelligence Unit and a system for reporting suspicious transactions.
