In July 2018 APG members decided to remove Vanuatu from APG membership action. The APG welcomes the progress made by Vanuatu to address the strategic deficiencies identified in its 2015 APG mutual evaluation report and highlights the FATF’s formal recognition of Vanuatu’s progress through its decision to de-list it from ICRG review.

The APG has issued an amended public statement in relation to Vanuatu to reflect the adoption of its third round mutual evaluation report and Vanuatu's referral by APG members to the FATF's International Cooperation Review Group.

The FATF Asia/Pacific Regional Review Group onsite visit to Pakistan was held from 3-4 December 2014 in Islamabad.

A ceremony was held in Dili, Timor-Leste on 26 September 2014 to mark the official opening of Timor-Leste’s Financial Intelligence Unit by Banco Central Timor-Leste.

From 2 – 4 September Cambodia hosted bilateral consultations between Indonesia and Cambodia on targeted financial sanctions to combat terrorism.

APG members considered Japan’s progress against its 2008 mutual evaluation at the APG’s 17th Annual Meeting in Macao, China. On 16 July 2014 the APG agreed to adopt the FATF’s June 2014 public statement on Japan.

The APG Secretariat met with senior officials in Thimphu, Bhutan on 6 May 2014.

The APG conducted a workshop in Thimphu, Bhutan on 7 and 8 May 2014 to inform AML/CFT-related Ministries, agencies, as well as the private sector, on the content of the 2012 FATF standards and assessment methodology.
