The 2025 APG Annual Meeting and Technical Assistance & Training (TA&T) Forum took place in Tokyo during the week of 25 August, drawing over 400 delegates from across the Asia-Pacific.

The APG Secretariat welcomed Co-Chairs, Deputy Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs Mitsutoshi Kajikawa and Deputy Commissioner Ian McCartney, as well as colleagues from the Ministry of Finance Japan to the Sydney office on 7 April 2025

All APG Secretariat staff attended a planning forum from 18-20 March 2025 in Bowral, Australia. With considerable shifts occurring in the Secretariat’s operating environment, they took the opportunity to reflect on the purpose and priorities of the APG Secretariat, understand the drivers of change as well as contribute to evolving the Secretariat by reshaping the operating model and building flexible capability.

The 2024 APG Annual Meeting and Technical Assistance and Training (TA&T) Forum was attended by over 400 delegates from across the Asia/Pacific during the week of 23 September in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

In June 2024 the Canadian APG Co-Chair, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister Julien Brazeau attended the Annual FATF-FSRB High-Level Meeting, held in Singapore.

Following an international selection exercise the APG Co-chairs have appointed Dr Chris Black as the new APG Executive Secretary commencing 10 June 2024.

On Friday, 1 March the APG Co-Chair Deputy Commissioner Ian McCartney, alongside the APG Secretariat farewelled Gordon Hook after 18 years as the Executive Secretary of the APG.

March is International Fraud Prevention Month.

The Executive Office of Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Financing will host the 2024 APG Annual Meeting and Technical Assistance & Training Forum from 22-27 September 2024 at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
