An APG team met with Samoa’s Deputy Prime Minister (and acting Prime Minister), and other Ministers and senior officials in Apia on 26 and 27 February 2014 to discuss the status of Samoa’s Counter-Terrorism Bill.

The APG Co-Chair, Andrew Colvin (Australia), Hari Nepal, from the Nepali FIU and Gordon Hook from the APG Secretariat met with Ministers and senior officials in Malé, from 11 to 13 February 2014.

The APG has recently received generous voluntary funding from three members, namely, Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, and the United States.

The APG Typologies Workshop on Trans-Pacific Drug Trafficking was held in Auckland, New Zealand, on 29-30 January, hosted by the Government of New Zealand and the Department of Justice

38 APG delegates from the across the Pacific Islands, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, China and New Zealand participated in APG’s 3rd round assessor training programme in Auckland, New Zealand from 21 to 25 January 2014.

Supervisors and supervised entities of the Maldives participated in a four-day APG workshop held at the Maldives Monetary Authority training institute from 8 to 11 December 2013.

The Inaugural General Meeting of the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network for Asia Pacific (ARIN-AP) took place in Seoul, Korea on 19-20 November 2013.

On 12 and 13 December 2013 the Asia-Pacific Regional Review Group (RRG) of the FATF’s International Cooperation Review Group met Nepali Ministers and officials in Kathmandu, Nepal.

On 19, 20 and 21 November 2013 a delegation from the APG and from the IMF met jointly with Myanmar government ministers and parliamentarians.
